Verizon Wireless unveiled its new $54 million network in theCharleston-Huntington market with a ribbon-cutting ceremony anddonations to the YWCA in Charleston and Branches in Huntington.
The company celebrated its entry in the market on Thursday with afestive event at its new office off the Interstate 64 Winfield exitat Hurricane.
Jennifer Miller, Verizon Wireless' district manager, announcedthat Verizon Wireless and the Verizon Foundation were making a$20,000 donation to the YWCA of Charleston and a $20,000 gift toBranches in Huntington. Both serve people affected by domesticviolence. The YWCA has a teen dating violence prevention program.
