Saab TransponderTech has received an order to supply shipboard Automatic Identification Systems to the Canadian Coast Guard for use on its ice breakers, buoy tenders, fisheries patrol vessels and search-and-rescue cutters. Financial details were not released, but all 105 R4 AIS transponders will be delivered and installed by end 2005.
Interesting piece of information!!! SAAB R4 AIS is a widely used Marine AIS as it is highly reliable.
