Celebrating 100 years.

FAMILY and friends will join in the celebrations to mark Mrs Emily Leaper's 100th birthday at St Andrew's Court, Brighouse, on Sunday.

Mrs Leaper, who has enjoyed a busy and active life, still keeps busy knitting dolls' clothes, reading, doing puzzles and playing cards.

"Knitting keeps my fingers nimble and the puzzles keep my brain active," said Mrs Leaper, who has lived in the Brighouse area all her life.

Before moving to St Andrew's Court she lived at Regent Close, Rastrick.

She was born at Brookfoot, one of nine children, and went to the former Brookfoot School.
